Thesis Design Artifact
This book is a visualization of a 140-page research document on the recontextualization of the atlas as a designer container. "Meta-Phorical Graphic Atlas" is directly influenced by the research of Herbert Bayer's "World Geo-Graphic Atlas."
The written document compares the historical use of the atlas between the Netherlands and the United States. In the book design the text on the left-side pages is shown in the Dutch language (thanks to Google Translate, definitely not precise), and the right-side pages are in English.
