The editorial projects are within the typography courses. There is a strong and developed learning of typography—history, type as design, use of grid systems, type styles, type pairings and use of software, primarily InDesign. The courses allow students to explore the development of editorial formats through research, writing and content development, logo design and analog book-making. Additionally, they create and execute concepts and messaging in various media through the use of design and communications.

My role is to act as the Creative Director of the projects by providing a project brief, and helping students to understand working with a client, pushing the idea of a concept and real-world industry applications of strategic development.
